Northwood operates both a crisis stabilization unit and an outpatient clinic on American Way in Weirton. The crisis stabilization unit provides 24 hour care for individuals experiencing acute symptoms of addiction or psychiatric illness. Our outpatient clinic offers the following services to treat mental illness, addiction, and intellectual disabilities:

  • Intake assessments
  • Psychiatric and psychological evaluation
  • Medication management
  • Individual and group therapy
  • Medication Assisted Treatment for addiction
  • IDD Day Treatment
  • Service Coordination
  • Behavior Support

    In order to better accomplish this mission, Northwood periodically conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment to identify the behavioral health needs of its community, and develop programs, services, and strategies to help meet those needs.
