Valley Vista
Valley Vista is a 87-bed alcohol and substance use disorder co-occurring residential treatment center with locations in Bradford and Vergennes. Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art, evidence-based co-occurring inpatient substance use disorder treatment services to adult women and men struggling with chemical dependency and/or mental illness.
Valley Vista is comprised of two autonomous co-occurring substance use treatment programs—gender specific men and women’s programs (Men’s Treatment Program—MTP; and the Women’s Treatment Program—WTP).
Valley Vista meets the ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) patient placement criteria for Level 3.1 to 3.5. We are the only Level 3.5 rated co-occurring residential substance use treatment organization in the State of Vermont. Both programs meet ASAM criteria as a Level 3.5 WM—Medically Monitored Inpatient Withdrawal Management detoxification program ensuring optimal withdrawal care for our patients. Valley Vista maintains CARF accreditation for program excellence and has been recognized for capability in dual-diagnosis treatment (DDCAT). Our comprehensive goal is to provide clinically indicated intervention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitative services reflecting best practice standards. Valley Vista’s treatment methodologies reflect a patient-centered approach utilizing multiple evidenced-based therapeutic modalities. Individualized treatment planning establishes goals and measureable objectives supportive of each individual’s growth and desired outcomes. Valley Vista has dedicated staff to provide comprehensive aftercare planning and the milieu recovery management program provides recovery coaches and other peer-to-peer support services for optimal success.
Each Valley Vista gender-specific program has been developed to provide treatment in an intimate, safe and secure therapeutic environment offering an assurance of anonymity, respect, dignity and validation for all program participants. Valley Vista inpatient treatment programs offer services from medically supervised detoxification to discharge and comprehensive aftercare planning, ensuring every participant departs with a continuum of care plan that supports their journey toward enduring recovery.
Valley Vista inpatient programs are clinically well-structured and feature a dedicated staff including a Program Director, Primary Therapists, Primary Therapist in Training, Continuing Care Specialists and 24-hour / 7 days-a-week floor supervision by trained recovery specialists, some of whom are certified recovery coaches. The psychiatric nurse practitioner is integrated as a part of each program.
